You Are What You Eat

‘You are what you eat’ is an old axiom that still holds true today. One has only to visit a fast food restaurant to see how many people utilize the easy and wide access to a fast, low nutrient dense food diet that is available in a convenient way at a convenient price. Business doesn’t seem to be hurting. What most who frequent fast food restaurants fail to bring into their health equation, is how their body is going to recover from the visit to a processed food supply and how their body is going to fulfill it’s need to replenish & nourish itself with vitamins & minerals not found in processed foods to the levels required to sustain life.
As Hippocrates once said; ‘Make your food your medicine’
We, as a society are indeed feeling the ill-effects of our ‘fast food diet’ that readily shows in the everyday health and well-being or lack of well being for a majority of our population. Those dealing with auto-immune conditions, such as; arthritis, psoriasis, eczema, fibromyalgia & thyroidism to name a few, that can be directly linked to the lack of minerals & vitamins currently available in our modern fast food diets. With high concentrations of healing polysaccharides & polygalactosides, along with high concentrations of chelated vitamins & minerals, seaweed has the variety to supply the body with ALL that is needed nutritionally to survive & thrive at optimal levels. Seaweeds, in general, supply us with all of the omega oils; omega 3, 6 & 9, all of our essential amino acids including; Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Glutamine, Glutathione, Glycine, Histidine, Lycine and Proline plus a host of others, 10 to 40% protein (dependant on the type of seaweed) with a spectrum of over 60 trace minerals & a host of vitamins that are in concentrations 10 – 40 times that of vegetables & plants grown on land. We can survive on eating seaweed and nothing else and be the healthiest people on the planet. We just need to look to Eastern cultures of Japan, Korea & China to see how this played out in the health of their nations.
Japanese people eat approximately 4-6g of seaweed daily and have the lowest rate of breast cancer in the world. That says a lot, since iodine is stored for health in the breasts, the ovaries, brain, thyroid gland and the prostate gland in men. In fact cystic conditions of the breast & ovaries have showed great response to Lugol’s Solution or iodine therapy. Cystic conditions begin to occur in the body after there is depletion in iodine. Painful, fibrocystic breast disease occurs in a large portion of the female population here in North America, this condition is reversed by supplying the body with enough iodine for the breasts. Since 1928, the iodine concentration required in the ovaries for sufficiency, has been known to be higher than in every other organ except the thyroid and the breast. Dr. Brownstein has found in his research that with high doses of iodine, cysts on the ovaries became smaller and start to disappear. He also found that the libido in women and men increased. This has also been the experience with fibrocystic breast tissue and breast cancer and iodine therapy. It takes 20 to 40 times the amount of Iodine needed to control breast cancer and fibrocystic breast disease than it does to prevent goiter.
"Breast, ovarian, and skin cysts — In addition to fixing almost all cases of breast cysts, iodine also has a remarkable healing effect on ovarian cysts,” Dr. Robert Rowen
